Water safety has always been an important issue for our Jacksonville, Florida family. Growing up in a household with a retired Jacksonville Beach Lifeguard as a father and a younger brother who was also in the corp., meant that we were always aware of the importance of being safe in and around the water. My family also owns two scuba shops in the Jacksonville, FL area and most of what we do involves swimming in or being around the water. When my husband and I decided to build a swimming pool our son was not quite a year old. There was no question that we would have a pool safety fence and he would begin survival swimming lessons. We built our in ground pool, had the safety fence installed immediately and our son began "Infant Swimming Resource." I became so involved in water safety for above ground pools and in ground pool owners that I actually became a certified swimming instructor. A few years into teaching we decided that there was a need for Pool Guard pool fences in our area. My husband and I began Pool Guard Pool Fence for Jacksonville, Kingsland, St. Augustine and Starke and here we are today.
