Self Closing Pool Fence Gate

We recently answered a call from a customer who needed a pool safety fence installed and had been calling around to get estimates. The reason she called Pool Guard of Tampa Bay was because of our self-closing gate that she saw in one of our advertisements. She liked the safety aspect and the convenience of such a pool gate, but when she called around for estimates she was told she could only be provided with a telephone estimate and was told that self-closing pool gates were expensive and were not safe. I told her that I believe the self-closing gate is the most important feature of a pool fence and offered to bring one by her home to show her the quality of the Pool Guard pool fence gate and to provide her with a free in-home estimate. She agreed and after seeing the reliability and sturdiness of the Pool Guard pool gate design she scheduled an installation.

This customer later took the time to write me a letter thanking me for the on-site estimate, saying she did hours of research by telephone and internet, but truly didn't understand the benefits of the gate or the different quality levels of the materials available under I took the time to meet with her. She ended the letter by saying that any pool safety fence company can quote you a low-ball price over the phone, but because this pool safety fence literally could mean the difference between life and death, it really warrants a face to face visit by a pool fence professional before a decision should be made.

Last Minute Holiday Gift

I recently received a call from the grandparents of a small child who realized at the last minute that their out of state grandson, who cannot swim, would be visiting for the holidays and that they have a swimming pool without protection. The big problem they were trying to solve was that it was Christmas Eve. Their son and family were on their way to Tampa and they couldn't get a pool fence company on the phone, let alone a company to install a fence at the last minute.

In a panic the homeowner asked her neighbor who installed her pool fence. The neighbor found her Pool Guard warranty paperwork on which I had written my cell phone number on and gave it to her. She called and explained her dilemma. We were about to close for the holidays, but I felt it wouldn't be right to not help a customer on Christmas Eve. I agreed to come directly to her with an installation truck to make sure the pool fence was installed on time. We finished installing the pool safety fence shortly after her grandson arrived. The customer was extremely happy and Pool Guard of Tampa Bay made a raving fan for life.

Pool Guard Quality and Reputation

I recently met and sold a customer that had several different estimates for Swimming Pool Safety Fences and Swimming Pool Safety Nets from many of my competitors’ in town. She said there were two main factors which made Pool Guard stand above the others, pool safety fence quality and local reputation for quality installation.

She said that none of the others showed her the high-quality interlocking mesh that Pool Guard uses and while many did have reinforced aluminum poles, they didn’t appear to be the same four way reinforced - heavy gauge aluminum of the Pool Guard removable safety fence pole. She mentioned that the Pool Guard Lifetime warranty was equal to or longer than anyone else which gave her piece of mind.

Lastly, she was convinced Pool Guard was the company for her because of the long standing reputation of quality installation. She checked the Better Business Bureau and found that Pool Guard of Tampa Bay, Inc. is a member in good standing with no negative reports. She also is a member of Angie’s List and found that Pool Guard of Tampa Bay, Inc. is highly rated and referred by other members.
