Last Minute Holiday Gift

I recently received a call from the grandparents of a small child who realized at the last minute that their out of state grandson, who cannot swim, would be visiting for the holidays and that they have a swimming pool without protection. The big problem they were trying to solve was that it was Christmas Eve. Their son and family were on their way to Tampa and they couldn't get a pool fence company on the phone, let alone a company to install a fence at the last minute.

In a panic the homeowner asked her neighbor who installed her pool fence. The neighbor found her Pool Guard warranty paperwork on which I had written my cell phone number on and gave it to her. She called and explained her dilemma. We were about to close for the holidays, but I felt it wouldn't be right to not help a customer on Christmas Eve. I agreed to come directly to her with an installation truck to make sure the pool fence was installed on time. We finished installing the pool safety fence shortly after her grandson arrived. The customer was extremely happy and Pool Guard of Tampa Bay made a raving fan for life.

Pool Fence Objectives - A Practical Guide

All four sides of the pool should be completely enclosed with no more than a 2 inch gap. Enclosing patios while leaving other access points such as gates creates a false sense of security. The only sure proof solution is to enclose the entire pool with the pool safety fence.

A minimum height of four feet is recommended by the American Association of Pediatrics and every drowning prevention committee in the United States, as well as required for all foster home and in-home daycare facilities. This also applies to elderly care.

A self-closing, self-latching and key lockable gate is mandatory. This will ensure that no opportunity for an accidental opening to present itself. A self closing gate gives parents an extra level of comfort when children are in the care of relatives, baby sitters and care givers.

Not all swimming pool fences are created equal by design. For example, wrought iron is rigid and climbable. Chain link also enables footholds and leverage. There is one and only one type of fence to protect your children from pool accidents. It must be a pool safety fence with woven mesh and aluminum poles. By its design there are no finger holds, foot holds or any possible way for a child to climb the fence.

Children are our future – let’s give them every chance we can.

Pool Fences for Puppies

Nydia called us for a quote for a pool fence because she was worried about her "babies". Upon arrival and several minutes of idle chat we were introduced to her 'babies' - dogs to be exact and six of them that have a strong liking of the swimming pool in the hot Puerto Rico sun. Her concern was a common one. Two of the dogs were getting a little on the higher age side and she found one treading water last week and it startled her. She was worried about what would have happened if she had not found her dog in time. After a brief consultation with regard to the needs of securing the entire pool from the 'babes in the sun' an order was placed and the pool fence will be installed next week. Nydia has found the solution to keeping the dogs safe - a pool fence to protect them.

Pool Fence Safety Case Study

We recently installed a fence for a lady who lives in Boynton Beach, Florida. She has six grandchildren ranging in age from two years old to eight years old. She babysits for them often, but was tremendously worried about pool safety and that one of the children would accidentally fall into the swimming pool.

She did some research and found that the most cost effective and most efficient way to solve her problem was to have a removable pool safety fence installed. She got a few estimates and chose Pool Guard because of our full lifetime warranty and because she loved the safety features of the Pool Guard self-closing gate. She also felt Pool Guard had a lot of options when it came to colors and color combinations. She thanked Pool Guard for doing such a great job explaining the pool fence system at the time of the estimate, showing up for the installation when they said they would and for the excellent installation of the pool fence.

Year Round Swimming Pool Safety

In December most people aren't thinking about being poolside, but due to our climate here in Phoenix Arizona, this is the time of year when many people are gathering around the pool. We have terrific weather in December that allows us to sit poolside and feel the warmth of the sun.
Our children begin to play outside and family and friends gather to visit. This is the time people get distracted by the weather and tend to forget about pool safety and needless accidents occur. No matter what time of the year, please always watch your kids around water and always have your pool enclosed by a swimming pool fence. The pool is out there 365 days a year, so a pool fence needs to be in place 365 days a year. We can all enjoy the great outdoors safely by always protecting small children from the pool by installing a pool gate.

The investment in a pool fence not only provides peace of mind, but provides invaluable safety around the swimming pool to save lives. By placing child barrier fencing around a swimming pool adults can relax and enjoy themselves and the little ones are provided with pool safety.
